Winter Olympics 2018
What's your favorite winter sport to watch on the Olympics? For me, it's figure skating! And it is probably because I can't imagine even doing it myself. There's been the occasion where I have ice skated without falling down but that is not the norm. Living in the south makes most of the winter sports fascinating to me. I did live in MN for 3 winters but mostly stayed inside by a roaring fire. This year, we have 240 American althletes vying for medals in 15 sports. In 2014, America came in 4th for most Gold medals but 2nd in total medals. The home team, Russia, won that race.
Here's the schedule for the games in Pyeongchang, S Korea to get you starting watching the games. The daytime highs are averaging around 11* which is not as cold as our own Duluth, MN at 4*. The cold weather makes each sport easier, the snow softer, the ice slipperier (not sure if that's a word). The colder it is, the faster the slopes are. We can watch in our cozy couches and root for America. Go USA!!!!
